Parking Access and Revenue Control

Parking controls at the lane: who gets in, who pays, and what the garage actually earned. Cloud-hosted PARCS and the parking control equipment around it (barrier gates, ticket dispensers and pay stations), supplied and serviced by one team with installation oversight.

What parking controls do at each lane

A parking access and revenue control system is the transaction layer of a garage. It decides which vehicles may enter, meters how long they stayed, takes payment, and produces the revenue record the operator is accountable for.

  • Entry lane. Ticket dispenser, credential reader or plate read, with a barrier gate and safety loops.
  • Exit lane. Pay-in-lane, ticket validation or plate matching, with intercom to a live attendant.
  • Pay-on-foot stations. Card, contactless and cash, sited on the pedestrian route rather than in the lane.
  • Credentials. RFID cards and tags for monthly parkers, validation for visitors, ticketless entry by plate.
  • Reporting. Revenue by lane, hour and rate class, reconciled against occupancy.

The system is cloud-hosted, so the operator sees the same data as the site without dialling into a booth PC.

Talk to us about parking access control

Parking controls and PARCS: common questions

What are parking controls?

Parking controls are the systems that manage vehicles in and out of a gated parking facility: who may enter, how long they stayed, and what they paid. The full system is called parking access and revenue control (PARCS); the term parking controls is also used for the lane equipment itself.

What is parking control equipment?

Parking control equipment is the hardware at the lanes and on the pedestrian route: barrier gates and gate arms, ticket dispensers and exit verifiers, pay-on-foot stations and pay-in-lane terminals, credential readers for RFID cards and tags, license plate recognition cameras, intercoms, and the safety loops and lane controllers that tie them together. In construction specifications it usually falls under parking control equipment, CSI MasterFormat 11 12 00.

Do you service parking control equipment from other vendors?

Yes. Kyosis repairs and replaces parking control equipment installed by other vendors, as well as the systems we supply, with same-day response.

Does PARCS work with a parking guidance system?

Yes. Parking access and revenue control shares occupancy with an automated parking guidance system (APGS) or a level guidance system, and pairs with LPR vehicle tracking for ticketless entry and enforcement.
